Short names are abbreviated names you can give to galleries that allow you to quickly index your pictures. For example, if you have lots of galleries and you're trying to add a picture to one or more galleries, instead of trawling through a large drop down list to find a single gallery, you can type in your defined short names seperated by commas.

Defining Short Names.  The /manage/shortnames section of any FotoBilder site will allow you to create new shortnames, or delete any existing, provided that you are logged in. To create a new short name, simply enter the name, select the appropriate gallery, repeat up to 5 times, and press the “Create” button.

Deleting Short Names.  If you have a short name defined and would like to delete it, then go back to the /manage/shortnames section, select the names you would like to delete, and press the “Delete Selected” button.
